Position Summary:
The Senior Final Billing position requires the ability to perform all job requirements of the Final Billing Representative 3 position. Must have extensive knowledge of government contracting billing experience and ability to understand and interpret contract agreement. Strong analytical and reconciliation skills with the ability to perform complex accounting tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting. Able to work independently and use sound judgment in resolving non-routine issues. Ability to take initiative and assume responsibility for the contracts and projects assigned in order to be able to perform all job requirements. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees to include senior managers within the finance, accounting, contracts, and other organizations. Assists in the training of new employees, and is available to act on behalf of the Final Billing Lead on an as needed basis. Position is full time and involves occasional work in excess of 40 hours per week.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Responsible for final billing complex contracts with extensive billing requirements
Assists the Final Billing Lead with quality assurance (invoice review of co-workers' invoices)
Assists with the training of new employees on basic final billing concepts and is available to answer invoicing questions as they arise
Acts on the final billing lead's behalf on an as needed basis
Assumes responsibility for special projects as the need arises
Qualifications:
A minimum of a four years college degree and at least three years work related experience with U.S. Government contract billing. Proficient knowledge of Excel and SAP. Must have extensive knowledge of government contracting and ability to understand and interpret contract agreement. Must have strong analytical and reconciliation skills with the ability to perform complex accounting tasks to ensure accurate financial reporting. Must be able to work independently and use sound judgment in resolving non-routine issues. Must have the ability to take initiative and assume responsibility for the contracts and projects assigned in order to be able to perform all job requirements. Ability to interact effectively with all levels of employees to include senior managers within the finance, accounting, contracts, and other organizations.
